The Military Tactical Combat Shirt Uniform, also called the Army Combat Shirt (ACS) is a shirt developed and used by the United States Army as a supplementary addition to the Army Combat Uniform. The ACS is a stand-alone shirt designed specifically for use with Improved Outer Tactical Vest armor in warm and hot weather instead of the blouse.

Product Introduction

It is intended to greatly increase user comfort through the use of lightweight, moisture-wicking, and breathable fabrics. The ACS was created in conjunction with the USMC’s Flame Resistant Organizational Gear (FROG).

Camouflage Pattern & Color

Black is the darkest color, the result of the absence or complete absorption of visible light. It has been a traditional color of cavalry and armoured or mechanized troops. German armoured troops (Panzerwaffe) traditionally wore black uniforms, and even in others, a black uniform is common. In Finland, black is the symbolic color for both armoured troops and combat engineers, and military units of these specialities have black flags and unit insignia.

Black uniform were used by Hussars and Black Brunswickers, the German Panzerwaffe, and U.S. 400th Missile Squadron, and continues in use with the Estonian Kuperjanov Battalion.
